| Sacramento GreenCycle
is a local garden refuse
processing project being developed in the County of Sacramento by
the Sacramento
Regional Solid Waste Authority (SWA), a joint powers authority
that regulates and coordinates regional waste management matters
among its member agencies in the SWA region. |

Member agencies of the SWA are the
City
of Sacramento and the unincorporated areas of
Sacramento County.
Currently, this project is in
the environmental review process. The
Draft Environmental
Impact Report (EIR) was released on
10/21/09. The Draft EIR
identifies a preferred site and technology alternative.
The next step is to begin the vendor
